Sylwia Iłenda
Sylwia Iłenda arabian horse photography art.ilenda@gmail.com website |
Sylwia Iłenda, born in 1976 in Lublin, Poland. Graduate of the Visual Art School in Zamość Polish artist and photographer of Arabian horses. She grew up close to the picturesquely located Białka Stud. Since her early years she spent long hours on the pastures among mares and their foals. The childhood fascination with the beauty of the horse slowly started to turn into a great passion and love for these remarkable animals. Captivated by the postcards of Zofia Raczkowska and Marian Gadzalski, she decided to one day become a photographer as well. And she did. Since 18 years she has been professionally photographing Arabian horses. Apart from photography she also creates pastel drawings, with the horse being the main motif. She has had several exhibitions of her works at Arabian horse championships. The visual arts school taught her to notice and appreciate beauty and subtlety of colors that surround us. These skills are most helpful during photo sessions and give her images even more artistic values. Apart from outdoor photo sessions she is a regular at Polish and European Arabian horse shows. She has been invited to shows as an official photographer on many occasions. For 8 years she has been one of the accredited photographers of the World Championships in Paris. A co-creator of the catalogues for the Pride of Poland Sale and Radom Summer Sale. Her photographs are readily published in Poland and in international magazines dedicated to the Arabian horse, such as: Koń Polski, Araby Magazine, Świat Koni, Tutto Arabi, Arabian Horse World, Arabian Horse Times, Arabian Horse Spirit, Arabian Horse Magazine. In 2011 Białka Stud used her photographs to illustrate their 80th anniversary album. In her free time she paints horses. In the retreat of her workshop she creates portraits of the most outstanding and famous Arabian horses in the world. Her pastel drawings can be found in many private collections all over the world. The artist cannot imagine life without Arabian horses. Share this passion with her, following her artistic journey. |
